While I am looking forward to the upcoming season of big-name blockbusters (Watchmen, Star Trek), I am also seeking out some of the smaller, independent films. I love big explosions and special effects, but they can’t substitute for great stories. One of the movies featured  at the Sundance Festival website has definitely caught my attention. Push: The Based on the Novel by Sapphire, has received some great reviews. It tells the story of Precious Jones (Gabourey Sidibe), a young girl who has everything in the world against her, yet is determined to move forward in life.  

No release date has been set for the movie yet, but I’ve added it to my list of must-sees.
